Interfleet Appointments Set To Sustain Growth In South East Asia

Interfleet Technology has appointed husband and wife team Tim and Vicky Gray, as Regional Manager and Systems Development Manager, respectively, of the company's South East Asia office, which will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

With more than 15 years' experience in railway engineering, including business development, financial, contractual and technical responsibilities, Tim Gray's role will be to nurture a broad and continually growing range of Interfleet's client contracts and business opportunities. He will establish a network of associates and partner companies and co-ordinate the delivery of proposals/bids and assignment deliverables to the clients.

As Systems Development Manager, Vicky Gray is entrusted with the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems for Interfleet South East Asia, ensuring efficient client marketing, business processes, information transfer and inter-group communications.

Interfleet's South East Asia office will build upon the inroads already made by the company's Sydney-based team whose breadth of consultancy skills are becoming well recognised throughout the Australian rail industry and beyond. Interfleet has recently undertaken a strategic audit for Singapore MRT Ltd involving rolling stock, permanent-way and signalling. Meanwhile, over in Korea the company has been appointed to assist the major rail vehicle manufacturer, the Korean Rolling-Stock Corporation, with its contract for the supply of new EMU vehicles to rail operator MTRC in Hong Kong. In Malaysia itself, Interfleet has provided extensive consultancy support to the Express Rail Link consortium, in connection with the new airport rail-link.
