INTERFLEET STRENGTHENS ITS AUSTRALIAN OFFICE TEAM

Interfleet's Australian subsidiary is now well-established as an integral part of the Australasian railway market. With activities in Brisbane and Melbourne, together with the HQ office in Sydney, the company provides consultancy services to many key industry players, including operators, maintainers and suppliers.

A number of key appointments have recently been made, as part of the ongoing development of the Australian skills-base:

  • Michael Grace has been appointed Regional Manager, Australasia with responsibility for both day-to-day management and new business development; he was previously Principal Consultant with the Australian team.


  • Kate Majoribanks joins the Australian office as a Senior Consultant from August 2000; a professionally qualified Mechanical Engineer, Kate brings a wealth of experience gained with UK rail leasing firm Angel Trains, including engineering, maintenance and contractual/commercial management.


  • Rob Smith takes up a permanent position in Australia as a Consultant from August 2000; Rob graduated from Nottingham University in 1998 with an MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering and has been on secondment to the Australian office since February 2000.


  • Additionally, Senior Consultant Hugh Bridge has recently been elected to full membership of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers as a Chartered Engineer. An experienced mechanical engineer, Hugh has been with the Australian team since September 1998.
